Emergency Road Service

Emergency Road Service can be added to your auto policy to provide coverage for:

Towing
Minor mechanical adjustments
Battery jump start
Tire change
Gasoline, oil and water delivery
Lockout service

When you purchase Emergency Road Service, Horace Mann Express Service is included at no additional charge and provides prompt 24/7 assistance.

Costs of battery, tire(s), fuel or oil are not covered.

Rental Reimbursement

If you have a covered loss due to an auto accident, Rental Reimbursement coverage helps pay for a rental car or other transportation while your vehicle is in the shop.

For Homeowners insurance:

Scheduled Personal Property

Scheduled Personal Property coverage can be added to your current home, renters or condo policy to provide additional coverage for high-value items, such as jewelry, antiques, artwork, collectibles, firearms or golf club. Most Homeowners policies have sub-limits on certain types of property, which means more expensive items may only be partially covered in the event of a covered loss.

Replacement Cost insurance

There are two coverage choices when insuring your personal property: Actual Cash Value coverage or Replacement Cost on Contents coverage. The difference between the two involves depreciation.

Actual Cash Value coverage

Actual cash value is the actual value of an item today (new cost minus depreciation). It is not the amount you paid for it or the amount it would cost to replace it. Think of actual cash value as what you might get if you were to sell the item.

Replacement Cost on Contents coverage

Replacement cost on contents covers the cost to fully replace your personal property if it’s damaged or destroyed by a covered loss. Whether you purchased the item two months ago or 10 years ago, with this coverage you will be compensated to replace it with a new item of similar kind and quality.

Underground Service Line coverage

Underground Service Line coverage protects the underground wires and pipes on your property that provide services to your home, such as electricity, water, gas, internet and cable. Repairing these lines can be costly and often includes excavation. You can add this endorsement to your Homeowners policy to pay for:

Repairing or replacing your underground service lines, including excavation
Additional living expenses if you have to vacate your home while repairs are made
Repairs to your outdoor property, including trees, shrubs, lawn, walkways and driveways, if damaged as a result of a covered service line failure

Water Backup coverage

Water damage is one of the most common and costly types of Homeowners insurance claims. A standard Homeowners, condo or renters policy does not include coverage for water backup and overflow from sewers, drains, sump pumps or related equipment. A water backup endorsement can be added to your Homeowners policy to help protect your home and belongings from water damage.
