Teachers learn the lingo in Episode 3 of Horace Mann’s faux reality series, ‘An Extreme Calling’

Responses from educators in Horace Mann’s Educator Advisory Panel inspired the series after they shared the funniest things about being a teacher that only other teachers could understand.

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (Oct. 10, 2014) – In the latest episode of Horace Mann’s (NYSE:HMN) faux reality series, "An Extreme Calling," find out if teachers know their LOLs from their OMGs. Horace Mann, a multiline insurance company providing insurance and financial services to the education community, is taking a lighthearted look at the unique challenges educators face through the faux reality series. The series features several teachers undergoing intense training meant to train them for their “Extreme Calling” and is featured on Horace Mann’s social channels. 

We hope TAW (teachers are watching) our latest episode of our “An Extreme Calling,” video series, “Learning the Lingo.” The first episode, "Two-Minute Meal Ingestion," was released on Sept. 12, followed by "Beat Back the Bladder" on Sept. 26. Episode 4 will soon be released on Horace Mann’s Facebook page and horacemann.com.  

The survey also generated a comic series called, "Classroom Fun-da-mentals." Several of the comics have already been released.
