‘Life as a Teacher’ survey spurs ‘Fun-da-mentals’ cartoon series

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (Aug. 27, 2014) – Kids say some funny things, and the members of Horace Mann’s Educator Advisory Panel shared some of the best stories from their classrooms in the recent Educator Advisory Survey. The responses were so entertaining, they led to the creation of cartoon series called, “Classroom Fun-da-mentals.”

Horace Mann is featuring the cartoons on its Facebook page, and between laughs, teachers are commenting providing more material for future cartoons. The cartoons are also available on horacemann.com.

“Anyone who knows a teacher has probably heard some of the funny stories they tell about their students.  The cartoons are a fun way to bring some of those stories to our social community and allow them to laugh about it and add their own funny stories to the conversation,” says Dawn Klintworth, Vice President of Integrated Communications. “Teachers have a challenging job, and we want to help them share some of the more lighthearted moments of their days.”
