Horace Mann Insurance Company continues its lighthearted look at life as a teacher

In the latest episode of Horace Mann’s video series, “An Extreme Calling,” the teacher trainees learn what it means to "Beat Back the Bladder."

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (Sept. 26, 2014) – Being a teacher takes dedication, hard work and - occasionally - a bladder of steel. In the latest episode of Horace Mann’s video series, “An Extreme Calling,” the teacher trainees learn what it means to "Beat Back the Bladder."

Horace Mann, a multiline insurance company providing insurance and financial services to the education community, is taking a lighthearted look at the unique challenges educators face through the faux reality series. Responses from educators in Horace Mann’s Educator Advisory Panel inspired the series after they shared the funniest things about being a teacher that only other teachers could understand. The series features several teachers undergoing intense training meant to train them for their “Extreme Calling” and is featured on Horace Mann’s social channels.

The first episode, "Two-minute Meal Ingestion," was released on Sept. 12. Additional episodes will be released via Horace Mann’s Facebook page and horacemann.com in the coming weeks.

The survey also generated a comic series called Classroom Fun-da-mentals.
