Horace Mann names Root Employee of the Year
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (March 14, 2018) – Horace Mann named Aaron Root of Springfield its 2017 Employee of the Year. The company recognized Root at its Employee Meeting last week.
“Aaron is the go-to individual to bounce ideas off of, and he’s greatly respected and inspires his teams to work to the best of their abilities,” said Jeffrey Black, Information Technology Manager at Horace Mann.
“Aaron listens to everyone’s opinions and determines the best decision for the agents, customers, and company after taking it all in from others,” said Nichole Lauer, Senior IT Business Analyst and the April 2017 Horace Mann Employee of the Month. “He’s open to suggestions, open to change, and more importantly a driver of those changes.”

Root was selected for Horace Mann’s pinnacle award after being named the January 2017 Employee of the Month. As Employee of the Year, Root will receive various awards and will represent Horace Mann at community events throughout the year.
