Liability coverage insurance
There are two types of compensation associated with liability coverage insurance -- Bodily Injury and Property Damage.
Bodily Injury covers losses resulting from injuries you cause to others. Property Damage covers repair costs or the value of others' property you have damaged.
Who is covered?
- You and relatives living at your residence are covered when driving your car or another person’s car with the owner's permission.
- Someone else driving your car with your permission.
What is covered?
The injured party (third-party benefit) can receive payments for damages related to:
- Death
- Injury
- Medical care
- Loss of services
- Property damage (in certain states)
You are also covered for certain defense costs, bail bond costs and emergency first aid to others.
