How to set up a project

How do I set up a DonorsChoose project?

It’s easy for teachers to post projects on the DonorsChoose website:

  1. Visit
  2. Select “Get Started” to create a teacher account.
  3. Select “Create a Project” then “Get Started.”
  4. Select project type, then “Save and Create Title.”
  5. Name the project, then “Save and Go Shopping” at e-school mall.
  6. “Continue” through the tips DonorsChoose provides, then “Search” or “Go To Website” to shop for materials.
  7. “Save and Summarize” the shopping cart then write a summary sentence about the request.
  8. Tell the story of the classroom and project idea.
  9. Tell donors the impact the materials will have on the students, confirm the project details and submit.
